Scope of Work:
The subject property, 232 S Market St. was purchased by Murphy Properties II, LLC on February 6, 2024.
The original structure was built in 1873. It had been empty for a decade and not had any upgrades for some time.
The dwelling is a 3 story brick rowhouse with 1582 square feet. Originally, the home had kitchen, living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. After renovation, the first floor has a living room, kitchen, dining area, and a half bath. The second floor has 2 main suites and 2 bathrooms. Original interior stairs to the basement were attic drop-down style - new standard stairs were installed for better access to the newly finished basement, which has a bedroom, full bath, slop sink, laundry and storage, increasing the home's square footage to 2373.
The original roof was repaired. The exterior brick was scraped, pointed-up and painted. All original windows were restored to working condition with new glazing and panes where needed. All new heating and cooling, new electric, and new plumbing were installed. New metal rails were installed on the front stoop. All three fireplaces were made functional with electric heater inserts. The upstairs balcony was rebuilt, and a new privacy fence was installed in the back yard.
All of the wood floors throughout were refurbished to their original glory.
Physical work began in February 2024, after all permits were granted. Work was completed and the house was sold to new owners August of 2024.
